My artwork for Pidove, the second version. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Edit (2013) - Updated the permissions watermark to reflect the most accurate wording. When using this art, there's no need to ask permission - all I ask is that credit is given if possible. Thanks.

Enjoy.

Pidove... first pokemon I caught in a Pokeball in White.
This picture is amazing, are you sure you're not an illustrater for pokemon handbooks and Pokémon cards?

Oh, he looks adorable. You really showed off his wings, claws, and that heart shaped chest/belly XD

I love pigeons! I raised them as a child and have very beautiful remembrances of them. This is so sweet!

Your versions of the pokemon drawings are very dynamic-- I think gamefreak could learn a thing or two from their fans.

Thanks. I'm glad you like the poses I draw them in. :)

Unfortunately I think Sugimori is required to draw them in very basic poses for their first piece of official art, to give fans a good view of most of the Pokémon's body. When he goes back to draw Pokémon again (either in his own promotional artwork or for a remake's official art, like Generations 1 and 2) the poses tend to be far more dynamic and put mine to shame. xD
